Are you close to completing your university degree and curious to dive into the venture capital world? Do you want to gain hands-on experience and build a lifelong professional network? We are looking for an Investment Analyst Trainee to join us for an internship in Helsinki during spring (February โ May) or fall (September โ December), 2027.
About us
Evli Growth Partners (EGP) is a later-stage, entrepreneur-led venture capital fund operated by Evli. We invest in the most beautiful European growth companies and actively contribute to their long-term success and value creation. Our team is led by five ex-founders who have built and scaled companies from zero to international scale, all the way to exit. We now bring that experience into supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs. We are a tight-knit group working closely with each other and with our portfolio companies.
Internship position
Your job will be to source and analyse potential investment opportunities, support our portfolio companies, and to assist team members with their analyses and live deals. In addition, you will generate insights for internal use and conduct extensive background research, including market and competitor analyses. As venture capital is a people-oriented business, you will also represent Evli Growth Partners at various events and other occasions. Overall, your work tasks will be diverse and can be flexibly tailored to your skills and strengths.
Expected profile
To succeed in this position, you need to have a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of the financial markets, and, above all, a genuine interest and curiosity for startups and new innovations. We also expect the following from a trainee:
- Curiosity for the tech-driven world and new businesses

- Ability to take initiative and drive projects on your own
- Excellent interaction and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and spoken English skills (proficiency in Finnish, Swedish and other languages are considered an advantage)
- Experience with startups is considered an advantage
Previously successful candidates have had backgrounds in finance, industrial engineering or similar, but your study background is not a decisive factor. Above all, we want you to have a genuine interest in venture capital.
We offer

- A unique opportunity to build your skills through hands-on work with real ownership
- Guidance from an experienced team including some of the most successful entrepreneurs in Finland
- Fun and supportive work community
- Rapid and broad development of your professional network
